When I mapped out the course later just to see how off my garmin was, the distance I mapped out was 12.5 miles, which would mean I ran at 8:25/mi pace. That a massive difference in pace, although it a believable pace for me, and 0.5 miles is quite a lot of distance to be off by. So! My dumb question: I inclined to believe bad GPS data and the slower pace since it won make me overly confident going into the marathon, but it can also hurt my confidence if I had a bad run recently, but I curious if you would believe your watch, mapmyrun/strava route planner, or would you take an average?.
